My name’s Ian, and I started Backstage Side Hustles because, like a lot of performers, I’ve had to figure out how to survive when the gigs slow down.

I’ve worked day jobs, tried freelancing, picked up random projects, and done everything short of selling a kidney to keep doing what I love. Through all that, I’ve learned one key thing: you don’t have to give up your creative life to make ends meet—you just need smarter ways to earn.

This blog is my way of sharing what I’ve picked up—ideas, tools, and side hustles that actually work for performers, not against them.
